During my eight years of active duty as a sailor, I served aboard Harry S. Truman (CVN75), launching and recovering aircraft during flight operations and heavy equipment maintenance on two combat deployments. I gained over 10,000 hours of experience in about eighteen months in leadership and management skills. 

I also served as a facilities manager at Naval Air Station Oceana for thirty-six months. Over the next two years, I served in the reserves supporting NATO forces managing administrative duties before I separated to be home with my family and pursue my real estate career, totaling over a decade of naval service. With several other awards and qualifications, I have been awarded the Navy Achievement Medal and Flag Letter of Accommodation Medal during my military career, two of the highest awards military personnel can earn.
